Petra Kinnunen (born in 1991) is an artist and dancer from Helsinki, Finland. Her artistic practice spans a wide array of mediums, including abstract and figurative paintings, ceramics, glass art, and handcrafts. Kinnunen gets inspired from a wide array of sources, dreams, feelings, moments, surrealism and various subcultures, among other things. Her work is characterized by the interplay of contrast, symbolisms, and happenings from her everyday life. Her cats can sometimes be seen popping up in her paintings too. Over the years, Petra has showcased her art in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Finland and internationally. She is an active member of the Helsinki-based art collective Luuta, which consists of four members who share a studio. Previously, she was a member of the Maalimuijat art collective. She also works with making graphics, custom works and designs for a diverse range of clients. You can also find her teaching weekly both art- and danceclasses.
